powerbreak
Hi Just checking my Gibson Explorer which has been in its case for too long and noticed I believe where the neck was joined to the body lacquer cracks . Could anyone confirm if this is the likely to be the case or if I need to repair it Thanks for your info and help in advance All the best
NighthawkChris
Im not an expert nor do I have the guitar in question in my hands but I would say that is just lacquer crack. If the guitar plays well and functions as expected just keep taking care of it and leave it alone. If you need a repair for something like a neck crack or the neck is somehow unglued - which I think is highly unlikely- you’ll know when that happens. But otherwise enjoy it as long as you can. powerbreak
Hi Are there any other Explorer owners who can shed a light on the construction is the neck glued on which would explain why this 18 year old guitar has this cracks on the heel all the way Thank you L
powerbreak
Hi If the attached is the normal way Explorer necks are secured to the body that would explain the cracks. Can anyone confirm if possible Thank you L
