Epiphone Sheraton II

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

Newbie here. Just picked up a 96 Sheraton that I really like. Been looking to start doing some of my own work to save some money. Would like to rewire the Sheraton and replace the pickups. Any suggestions on where to get a wiring harness that would do the job? Any suggestions on pickups? I am mostly a classic rock/80s pop/blues type player. Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks!

What don't you like about the pickups and why to rewire?

The pickups are perfect for classic Rock/Blues.

I had a sherry from that same error, the pickups IMHO, were one of the weak links.. they were muddy, and they were very prone to feedback. I never changed them out, because just thinking about doing that job made my head spin. it is DOABLE, but yea, way tedious. A set of classic 57s would have probably brought that guitar new life.. but alas, I sold it many moons ago. I'm not sure who a prewired harness would even work on a semi..

I would go for the new Epiphone Probuckers that are in the Sheraton Pro II.
