The seller happens to live close to me so I could even drive there and pick it up, giving me a little bargaining advantage. I'm thinking of offering around $1800. But of course the question is...do you guys know anything about the early 90's models? Anything specific about that period that would make it advisable not to spend around two grand? kidblast Posted February 25, 2019 Share Posted February 25, 2019 IME the 90s Gibsons were great. I have two from the 90s. An ES135 and a Les Paul Standard. Twang Gang Posted February 27, 2019 Share Posted February 27, 2019 The biggest advantage I can see to living close to the seller is you can go play the guitar and see for yourself how it is. If it feels good and sounds good and you can give it a close inspection that is all you need. Reputation for certain time periods isn't all that reliable as every era has some great guitars built and probably a few not so great.
