Help dating this ES-125 plz

So I got this Archtop piece for peanuts, at that time I did not care and know that much about vintage guitars. Looking at it again many years later, I wonder if it is a genuine piece to help me decide if I should restore or not. I’ve attached some pix. Printed with dark ink Inside is: ES 125 and also on the inside (seen through the other hole) the nbr 5936 17.

While researching I found out that the genuine ES vintage Gibsons have a letter which help identify the year, so under those circumstances, could this be a fake? Checking the common serial nbr tracking sites gave me a fat “not found”. Appreciate any help/input!

Different numbering/lettering systems were used on different models and at different points in Gibson's history. Here's a website with some good general info, including the general guidelines for dating with a factory order number like yours (as ksdaddy did): http://www.guitarhq.com/gibson.html#serial

And as usual, I agree with ksdaddy.
