And would like to know if I got as good of a deal as I think I did. Other than someone destroying the pick guard with etching a name and a symbol into it, it is in very good condition, with the original case. The serial # puts it at either a '66 or a '69. From what I have heard, they removed the dot above the i on some guitars between '68 and '72. If this is correct, is it safe to assume I have a '66?
