Epiphone Hummingbird Batteries

Greetings! I just purchased a new Epiphone Hummingbird Acoustic/Electric that uses CR2032 batteries. I am finding that the batteries are not lasting very long, like they are going dead after one use. That is, I install new batteries, play a session with no issues, return the next day and the batteries are dead. I have started removing the batteries after each session to help battery life, but is this a known problem or do I have a defective pickup draining the batteries? Any help appreciated!

Thank!

wow, I've never seen a CR2032 used for a pickup. I'm not sure how long they'd last even with making sure the cable is out but yes,, definitely gotta do that.

once the cable is in, the battery is engaged.
