](* Can you please post a few more pics of your r0? What a beauty.[/quote']

I don't have much variety in the way of angles. Here it is front on and below that is the snap I use as my avatar. Please excuse the dust.....

I've also found a detail of the figure and 'checking' beneath the P'G.

Is there a secret handshake' date=' password or knock required to get into this club? You've seen this one before, but envision a current version with about six additions and two subtractions:

That's what I call a collection.

You haven't filled in the "What do you call them" thread yet.

Were waiting............

Thanks guys!

Pippy, no I haven't done much with names. A few of my guitars came with names when I got them, but otherwise, the rest are nameless.

And crossroad, if you don't mind my asking...what's this "plain top" thingy of which you speak? LOL

Haha, I know (think I know) you were kidding, but I meant w/out the flamed top. I'm a sucker for a nice looking plain top ... my favorite guitar porn =D>

As a matter of interest; which two went?

As we're doing backs now, here's my rear (It's a little bit darker in the flesh).

pinefd' date=' awesome collection! Just curious what is the tiny one in the middle of the sofa?[/quote']

Thanks Howlin!

That tiny one was actually my prototype Less Tall 1/2 scale guitar. Here is a pic of a couple of my completed Less Talls with a full size Historic (a larger version of my avatar):

For more info and pics of those, check out my website.

Actually' date=' Pippy, now that I think about it, three of those guitars are now gone. They are #1 in the collage ('94 Murphy painted R9 "Brock 2"), #8 ('04 R9), and #13 ('07 R0 (with mega mineral streaks)). It killed me to get rid of 1 and 13 (especially 1), but I think what replaced them was worth it. I recently acquired a very high end replica, plus three more Historics. These include the Fake #1 '99 40th Anniversary Murphy Painted and Aged R9, to round out my Lawsut Guitar collection. I also picked up the NAMM #2 '09 50th Anniversary R9...the one used in most of the '09 brochures, promos, and on-line pics, plus a great (and rare) Murphy aged '03 Brazilian. The last two are shown below.

Thanks pinefd.

I can (actually I probably can't!) understand how hard it must have been to let those go - especially 'Brock 2' (was that the one on the LPF recently?). I know you know exactly what you're doing so it must have been worth the pain!

Have you placed any original PAF's or PAT No.'s in any of your guitars to see if there is much difference from the recent/current HB's? If so what was your conclusion?

Which of your bunch gets the most play-time and which (if different) sounds the best?

Questions, questions, I know, but I am curious by nature (and you've been very accommodating in return).....

I don't mind the questions at all, Pippy. It's finding the time to answer them...and coming up with the answers themselves which can sometimes be a challenge! With regard to putting vintage PAFs in guitars, the answer is yes, I've done it. I have two sets of PAFs, which have gone into three different guitars over the years. I definitely do see a difference, but to be honest with you, my ear isn't trained enough...and I'm not a good enough player to fully appreciate much of the differences. These days I spend so much of my time building guitars (and taking care of my kids) that it doesn't leave much time for playing. Besides, I left my serious playing days behind me about 30 years ago.

And as to which of my guitars get the most play-time (what little there is), I hate to say it, but that would be my replica, followed by my '07 Chambered R8 flametop.

Oh, and crossroads, no I don't have any plaintops...sorry!

And stevezapp, I just love that back! Very cool!

I do appreciate the answers. With a 4-y-old myself I know how hard it can be to find any spare time at-all!

Cheers.
