Randy Roth
I have a Mansfield giutar that is pretty much identical to the Gibson Hummingbird, having even the same mahogany / spruce construction. I inherited it from my dad in '81, and he had it awhile before that. Does anyone know the origin of this guitar? Thanks - Randy
ksdaddy
They were imported from Japan I think... possibly Korea but doubtful. I think the brand name of Mansfield was owned by a Canadian company or distributor because in '74 I was at a music store in NB that had a pile of them and in '75 I was at a big bonfire/party and a couple Canadian guys showed up, one toting a Mansfield Hummingbird style.
