I am looking forward to install Luxe Bumblebees caps in my 2004 Les Paul Standard. Are this the same capacitors used in the original 1958 Jimmy Page Les Paul. The pickups i have on my guitar are Bustbucker pro1 & 2.

Any advise on somebody who was these capacitors installed in their Les Paul Standard?

Looking for the Zep sound and Blow by Blow Jeff Beck tone without installing the Jimmy Page wiring kit. Meaning keeping the guitar are stock as possible.

Have you ever seen 50 First Dates? You remind me of the girl in that movie.

Bees will not make you sound like Jimmy Page. Let's say on a scale of 1 to 10, your guitar is an 8.1 right now.
With the Bees it might go up to 8.3. Do you understand? They will make your guitar sound a little better.

Is it worth investing in the Vintage Long Shaft Upgrade kit with LUXE Bumblebee Caps:

My original gibson pots are working fine maybe a little scratch sound when i get down to 0. Are these pots better than the gibson stock ones?

Yes, those are very good pots and caps. Make sure you order long shaft, not short shaft.
Much better than the ones you have now but they will not make you sound like Jimmy.
The closest you're going to get to sounding like Jimmy Page is by doing this.

Sell your 2004 Standard and buy this guitar:

Then send it to this place and ask for Package A:

Once you get it back, order Dr. Vintage pickups from here:
http://www.wolfetone...andpricing.html

Finally, buy short shaft pots and Bumblebee caps from here:

...and you're set.

Every guitar is different and will repsond differently to the mods. Now throw in the personal factor into it (what you like for tone may not be what others like) and you can see there is no definite answer.

I personally thought the Luxe Repro Bees really work well in my guitar. Better than the Sprague Vitamin Q's I had in it before. But then again I was looking for a certain tone from my guitar.

Also, visit the other Les Paul forums and do a search for the Luxe Bees. Most people are very happy with them, others prefer the Vit Q's, others the Jensons, Orange Drops, etc. The list goes on.

Finally, call RS GuitarWorks if you are thinking of using one of their kits. Talk to Billy and discuss the sound you are after. He helped me out and I am glad he did.

Oh and Tim, how is the CR8? You chambered guitar basher you :-)

Well, it's no solid body...............................just joking.
It's a blast to play and sounds great. Glad I bought it.

Actually, this is quite funny...
I was playing my R9 one day before I put real Bees in it.
The Mrs. came down and said "Turn that noise down!!"
I got the Bees a few days later, put them in and started jamming.
The Mrs. came down again because she honestly thought Jimmy Page was in our house playing guitar.
True story :-"
