My "new" 2004 Les Paul Special SL - What does the SL stand for?

Congrats on your guitar. Mine is in my avatar. I got a 1998 cinnamon finish. Mine is still mint condition. I run 9s on it and it smokes. I did not know that LPs took 10s from the factory until I spoke with Gibson on the phone. It sounds and plays so good with 9s I'm leaving it that way. I adjusted my neck just perfect for myself with .04 inch relief between the 6th and 9th frets. This guitar was easy to work on. The poly finish is alright by me. The finish is probably more durable.

I don't think Gibson uses poly on anything, do they?
