FennRx Posted April 8, 2008 Share Posted April 8, 2008 by size, i assume you mean gauge. and that's up to your preferences. most Gibson's come with BriteWires .10s on them. ibis Posted April 13, 2008 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Best way to tell if your strings need changing (apart from them sounding dull) is to run your fingers under the wound strings, between the string and the fret board. If the underside of the strings feels lumpy, like a train track, then its time for a new set! Welcome to the forum. You can get strings at your local music shop.
