Gibson101
Best strings for an ES-335?
L5Larry
This question is VERY subjective, there is no single definitive answer. That said, what I use on my ES-345 is D'Addario EXL115 nickel wound 11-49. I have used this set for years and have been very satisfied. A post in another section has me considering bumping up another guage, so I'm going to try LaBella EL-BH Blues Heavy 12-52.
Mr. Robot
I have also used the EXL115 but am now using EXL110's
Mark
DR Pure Blue Round Wound 10's
artmaker
Personally, I like GHS Boomers 10's but as L5Larry stated, it is very subjective. Best to try different brands and gauges and see what works best with what and how you play.

tbonesullivan
there is no correct answer. everyone has their own favorite strings. Most people I know put the same strings on all of their guitars, regardless of the style of guitar. Some people put flats on semi-hollows for an even more mellow sound. I use D'Addario nickel-wound .10s, Ernie ball Slinky .10s, and Carvin .10s, which are re-branded GHS boomer .10s.
lpdeluxe
Mine gets D'Addario EJ21s: .012 - .052, wound 3rd. Through a Fender Band-Master VM head and Weber California Ceramic 15 is speaks with authority.
bluenote
After trying a few brands, I'm happy with Blues Sliders. They are more expensive, about 18.00 here in Canada. They give a really nice mellow tone. Made in Austria.

NeoConMan
D'Addario nickels, but my favorite was the Gibson Vintage. Plant is closed now, so I don't know what I'll use next. I like tens, and I like nickel.
zigzag
I'm still experimenting, but I like 11s and a wound third.
JazzGtr
Best strings for an ES-335? Since you play accoustic guitars' date=' D'addario's 11 w/ 3 wound should work for you quite nicely. I used these with my PRS SC Hollowbody I. I love them! Jazz
