rscott4079 Posted April 24, 2008 Share Posted April 24, 2008 Okay, setting aside for the moment the obviously unoriginal pickguard, bridge and tuners - does this appear to be an actual J-45 to you guys? It was for sale at the Central Dallas Guitar Center and purports to be a 1940's era J-45. The body shape looks odd to me...... Refresh once to make the photo bigger..... Maybe 1940's J-45 The reason it's not at the GC anymore is that some goof ball bought it via GC.com and is now feeling anxious about and annoying people by posting bad links about it in the Gibson Forum. However it doesn't show up in the Central Dallas inventory. Could be they've sold it. The pick guard is definitely funky. The bridge don't look right to me either. It looks like a late '40s J45. 19 frets, so it is at least prior to 1955(?) I dont see a banner, so it would be after '46. The bridge is completely wrong.
