moonbird
Hello all - Can anyone tell me what reverb tank and reverb driver transformer is used in the Gibson GA1-RVT? From the looks of the schematic the triode end of a 7199 drives the transformer and then one half a 6eu7 recovers the signal. I am too dumb to figger it out from that. Thx. jameslucascalvert
Well, I've sent a couple of e-mails to Gibson about my GA-42RVT, and while they did e-mail me back pretty quickly, they seemed to know very little about my amp. They were able to tell me the configuration of the tubes, but had no schematics on the amp or the footswitch. But it's worth a shot!
MaestroOwner
A 1962 parts list for the GA-1RVT describes it as "Reverberation Unit(Type S in RV-C Box)". Manufacturer Gibbs/Watkins, Mfgr Part No RV-6.

Do you need the info on the Gibson GA 42RVT...You said you sent an email to Gibson, was that to Bob Burns of Gibson ...I could tell you many stories about the GA42RVT, but they would ban me from the sight..I have had 3 in the last 9 years, and before that, I had 2 GA 40RVT..I love the Gibson tones, but they lack something in workmenship or parts they use to build them...
