Dale
I've inherited an old Dobro from my Pop-in-law. It's not numbered other than the serial. 1,896,484 is the only number on her. Under the number it says "other pats pend", The head has a Dobro decal. Any idea what it is? It sounds AWSOME, and is in great shape from end to end. Thanks, Dale
Dale
DOH!!!! I found the #. On the head it has 9561.(it appears to be a 1936-1937) It also has a "triangular" neck. Would it be considered a squareneck?
ksdaddy
No, a square neck is really square like a 2x4, with raised nut and strings about 1/2" off the fingerboard to be played Hawaiian style. The triangular-ish shape neck you describe is typical of many 1930s instruments and is just a style.... still considered a roundneck.
