So I'm looking at a 69 Gibson J50 tonight that has had a side crack repaired.

Anything else I should look for??

He wants to trade for my Mesa Boogie Head.

Anyways I have been wanting a Gibson acoustic for a while. I'm not set on a slope shoulder, but it would be nice.

For me it comes down to how it sounds/plays.

Anyone got pics of nice square shoulder Gibsons??

Feel free to voice your opinions

Thanks for any info

Will you get to play it live? Those late 60's J50's have the narrow neck so make sure that'll work okay for you.

I don't think you missed out on much there. If you want a J-50 I'd definitely look for a round shouldered one.
