Is a similar change the case for the combo?[/quote'] The combo is the same chassis and amp guts as the head version; only the cabinets are different now. Besides, just cuz something's written in Wikipedia doesn't make it written in stone. The VJr factory uses whatever tubes they can get the cheepest...
