Freuds_cat Posted January 31, 2008 Share Posted January 31, 2008 Well I just cam back from Allans music here in Adelaide who retail Fender, Squier, Gibson, Epiphone, Ibanez and Warwick. Lotsa basses on lotsa racks. Not one has been setup. I tried a Gibson Tobaccoburst Thunderbird that had a price tag of Aus$3700 It was straight out of the box, no setup had a neck that was warped like Robin Hoods bow and felt simply atrocious. Now I'm not gonna get in to a big Bagging sesh against Gibson, they make some of the best instruments on the planet BUT! When I asked 2 sepperate sales assistants why the instruments wern't setup I got the same reply. "its an ongoing argument with the manufacturers".
