brewdude Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 I have an Epi Riviera Elitist with the mini HB's and I've never been completely satisfied with the volume and tone controls. As soon as the volume is turned below "10", the tone gets darker. I would like to get less volume but maintain the basic tone structure as I turn the volume down. Does anybody know anything about the "Memphis Tone" electronics that I have seen advertised as a feature of Gibson's new ES-339? Is this some kind of bright bypass cap across the volume pots? Great tone, but, man, when you turn down the vol. on either p'up it gets really weak. I've been playing mine cranked and adjusting amp & effects accordingly to get the right tone. So, bump...
