Man; what a great game. I am so stoked that New York knocked the Pats out of that perfect season. They are nothing but a bunch of arrogant' date=' pompus asses and they got theirs handed to them tonight.

Great job Giants ![/quote']

I was born in Brooklyn, lived in NYC for the first 44 years of my life. It was a GREAT game, Tom Petty halftime show, the Giants win. Needless to say I'm pretty happy.

Hey Suplex! Did you happen to catch that commercial with the Fu Mancho song, Mongoose?!

I think it was for a SUV or something. I just thought it was really cool. I bet they got some nice jack for that!

I thought it looked more like a vintage Tele... I dunno... I was paying more attention to the Rose-Morris Rickenbacker that he was playing first...

I had a Rose-Morris in the '70s and I didn't know what it was. I traded it for an Epiphone Rivioli bass 'cos I needed a bass for a project.

Here's the Mike Campbell sig model that he opened the set with:

Tom Petty made me proud last night. I was especially unimpressed with the Stones last year and blamed it on network sound engineers. Petty sure made up for it this year...you'd have thought they were at Woodstock with the huge crowd in front of the stage. The whole production was absolutely professional. Petty has been on Soundstage on Dish Network HD periodically in recent months with an equally good production.

I wuz wonderin' what that blue guitar was that the lead was playing at first. Ok, got the answer.

now somebody tell me more about these double neck six strings....why two six strings?

....is it just because of the various pickup selections available, or is there something else to

these?

BTW..Rickenbackers, Tele's, etc... all present at Tom Petty's half time show...but where were the Epiphones?

Why aren't these guys playing the "best of the best" LPs,Sheratons and Casinos?":-({|= :(

I'm from New England and am sick of hearing about Brady and the perfect season/team. The Giants seemed a little bit hungrier, more determined than the Pats. Good game (especially last 2 minutes) and congrats to the Giants. Petty was mediocre I thought. Songs sounded a little on the slowish side. Prince was much better last year, if only he'd just shut up and play his guitar.

Look again, carverman --- that upper neck is a twelve-string with the alternate-mount tuner configuration like a Rickenbacker.

There are, however, twin-neck six strings made --- they're mostly used by players who use alternate tunings, so they can have one neck, say, in drop-D tuning and the other standard.

Carver,

The lead guitarist is Mike Campbell, one of the finest rock guitarist ever. Not flashy, just everything he plays is perfect. He's been with Petty since they were kids. He's also a pretty good song writer & producer as well, most notably his work with Don Henley Boys of Summer.

The top neck is a 12-string, if you look at the photo I posted you'll notice that the headstock has two vertical slots like a Rick 12. As for Epiphones:

I believe backup singer / guitarist Scott Thurston plays a Epiphone Sheraton as well as a Strat.

Man, I got some serious GAS for one of those Duesenbergs... Never played one, but boy-howdy! Do they look sweet! Probably cost a chunk too, I reckon...
