Well, I got a new (to me) Dot on the way! Regular Dot... nothing fancy... Cherry finish.. Finally found a "used" on the bay for a reasonable price with a BIN...

The seller says the only blem he can find is on the TRC.. I was gonna change that anyway! I've already got my mods all planned out!

GFS '59s

Green Keystones

335 Pickguard

And a BIGSBY BABY!

Maybe black speed knobs too... I dunno..

Congrats, it's about time something went right for you!

I added the black speed knobs and I really like them. I got them at GFS too. We'll have twins! I did a B70, but if I was to do it again I think I might go for the B7, just cause the end pin hole didn't line up right on with the B70. I got it on okay, but I had to redrill a couple of holes. No one will ever see them cause I'm not taking it off and I don't plan on selling it. Looking for some pics when you get it and after you get it modded! That means two different sets of pics, which I know will be a real hardship for you. HAHAHAHA!

I went window shopping for a Bigsby on the bay for my g-400,and for the prices that they're asking I could almost have this:

I had one on an old gibson Les Paul, and in my Opinion, there isn't a better trem made!

Maybe this pic will help you decide about those black speedknobs [-o< (I sure like mine!) I've got a Varitone to put in there too one of these days when I get a couple of free hours.

Is this the one:

b5_licensed_bigsby_reg_tremolo_b24520.jpg

B-50 Licensed Bigsby

It would cost you about $80.00 (that includes shipping). If you want, let me know I'll see if they're in stock.

Punchpow, to post a pic, first upload your pics to Photobucket.com (accounts are free). Open a browser window to your Photobucket account at the same time you're logged into the Forum.

Then, when you're typing your message, click on the little icon above the text box that looks like a little mountain with a sun over it (mousing over this will pop up a window that says "Image.")

When you click it, you'll see this in your text box: {img}{/img} only with square brackets instead of curved ones.

Next, go to the Photobucket page that has the picture you want to post. Underneath it will be a label "Direct Link" next to a box of text. Copy the text next to the "Direct Link" label and paste it between the brackets of the two {img} headers in the text box, so it looks like this: {img}stringoftextfromtheDirectLinkinPhotobucket{/img} (but with square brackets instead of curved ones).

That oughta do it --- if you click "Preview" afterwards, your pic should appear.

Yeah, well I'm not counting my chickens yet... Right after I paid for the guitar, I sent an e-mail to the seller asking him to please, please, please pack it extra well! (Yes, I actually said "please" 3 times!) And I explained my recent bad luck with damaged guitars.. I saw in his feedback that he's shipped guitars before, so I reckon he knows what he's doing..

This Dot really took me by surprise... I wasn't GASsing for a Dot as hard as I was for a Junior, but I have wanted one all along... to fill the semi-hollow void in my collection.. It's just that the price was right, and I think it'll be a while before "Junior Mania" settles down a bit and undamaged Juniors start selling at a reasonable price... Hell, even the broken ones are selling for around $250! (Maybe I should have kept the ones that MF sent me after all!)

So the B7 is a better fit, eh? That's good to know.. I always knew that if I ever owned a Dot, I'd have a Bigsby on it... That's just the visual I always got in my head... Except in my head it was 335 instead of a Dot, but still.... =D>

I can't seem to bring myself to put one on my Casino... I just love everything about the way it sounds and I don't want to muck about with it..

Daneman... I can't believe you can't find a Bigsby on the bay (sounds like a song title, dunnit?) for less than $100! Isn't that what they go for retail?? I'm pretty sure that's the price I saw just about everywhere I looked when I was considering putting one on my Casino...

I figure I'll do the speed knobs... (thanks for the visual, Parabar!) I was thinking either speed knobs, or black bell knobs... I never liked the amber knobs on the Dot... At least not on the cherry one... And I think speed knobs are traditional for a 335..
