56goldtop Posted February 14, 2008 Share Posted February 14, 2008 I've tried fitting my 57 RI in a couple different cases (a universal fit, and a Gator LP softshell), but the guitar just doesn't fit right in these. I'm looking for something that offers good protection (particularly in the headstock area), snug fit, and not a lot of cash. Suggestions are appreciated. I have one for my '57 Jr. RI. It has a curved top and 5 latches. A really nice case for $60. My junior fits in it really snug, so does my Gibby LP for that matter. 13yguitarman Posted February 15, 2008 Share Posted February 15, 2008 Get an orphan case from guitar center prefarably a strat style flat case or somethin in that rec tangle category and trace your guitars shape and then cut the interior slightly around the edges then cut the foam to your guitars shape then close it back up. glew it or sew it and there you go.
