fenway14
Could someone help identify a used les paul epiphone. It is Quilted Red top, no cover for the humbuckers, bound in white or cream, headstock says les paul model the plate says gibson, grover tuners, set neck at the 16th fret, and the serial number is I03042505. From what I have found it was made in Korea in 2003.
Whitmore Willy
Hello fenway, From what I read you seem to have it about figured out. Since it is a Les Paul with a red quilt top it is a Les Paul Classic Quilt Top. At least that is the only paul I am aware of in that year with that kind of top. It was made in April of 2003 in the Saein factory in Korea. They came without covers on the pups.
fenway14
After looking at pictures of other guitars the finish is more of a birds eye maple.
flyingfrets
Really? I wasn't aware that bird's eye was issued in anything other than natural (or maybe a light amber for the vintage look). Then again, I always preferred flamed tops to quilts or bird's eye, so maybe I just wasn't paying attention. Got any pics?
