A local luthier said grovers are too heavy and the neck could acrue water damage. He recomends sperzle ( sp? ) of course he sells those. This guy has some weird ideas, what is he refering to ?? I don't think the Grover tuners will give more sustain, a Fathead maybe will. Gotoh or Schaller Kluson replica tuners will give a more authentic look. As to the keys make a sound difference once the strings pass the nut, i don't know. I think a well cut nut (bone), saddles and good pickups will give better tone.
