Posting to ask if any forum members from Hawaii can tell me the names of a couple of good Guitar Stores in Honolulu? Reason I ask is that I am travelling to Honolulu in late March from Brisbane Australia for a 5 day business conference. I'm keen to see if there any bargains to be had because we pay quite a bit more for our guitars (and everything else!) here in Australia.

My time in Honolulu will be limited and I won't be able to travel very far from my hotel.

I'll be at the Sheraton Waikiki and guess I can get to the main shopping centre of Honolulu without too much trouble. Any store names and addresses would be appreciated.

Hi StewartB. I know of a music shop called Easy Music Center in Honolulu, you can visit their site here though they don't offer screenshots of their products as they would prefer customers to come check out their products themselves. As far as I know, they try to match up their prices to online stores and try to beat their price. You can find their address on their website.

I just bought an Epiphone Special GT couple of hours ago at their branch in Waipahu.

Thanks mate. I had done some "googling" about guitar stores in Honolulu, but as you said their websites don't offer much info or pricing data. I'll addd them to my list for March. Thanks again for the info.

I lived in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii for 4 years, used to go to a store
called "Music Mac" - still have a couple of guitar picks...
"Music Mac - Da Bes' ". Don't seem to have a website for them.
Did a mapquest search for Easy Music
and Sheraton, not too far away at all... It IS odd that they can't
show EPIs on their site.

Starting point near beach is Sheraton, ending point is Easy Music.

If you're really keen, most US-based stores such as Musician's Friend ship to Hawaii too. [biggrin]

That is a GREAT idea for all our Non-US friends. "Want a new guitar?? Have to go to the US for business anyways???"
