jefleppard
i'm pretty sure its the baggs in all their production models nowadays. great pick up. the part under the saddle is braided so it makes better contact with the saddle.

Honky Dog
Thanks, guys. That's what I thought, but wanted to make sure. Gibson's web site says something to the effect of "Industry's Finest Electronics," but no particulars, at least that I could find.
jefleppard
interesting point. GS might know why the generic hardware listing and not the brand name.

Space Pup
It is my guess that since Gibson may change anything at anytime to imporve their guitars. They may use a generic listing like that to keep people from calling them every ten minutes and asking things like, "Why does my guitar have a red wired thingy inside and the one at GC has a blue wired thingy?" (sorry, I didn't mean to so technical with all the "thingy" talk.) ...and now for something completely different.
