sutton
Hey Gang, I'm new to the forum too. Been a Gibson fan for many years. I bought a beautiful sounding Advanced Jumbo some time back and was just wondering, are they actually discontinued from the Montana line?? Thanks for any insights...Jon

The AJ has not been discontinued, however, it is only available for sale through one of Gibson's Five Star Dealers or through special order. That's why it's not shown on their website as a regular production model.
Space Pup
Welcome! The AJ (A very sweet guitar BTW) is not really discontined. It's available only through certain dealers right now. Kind of like an exclusive for the bigger dealers.
Taylor Player
Good thing you can still get them... I hear they are very popular! (But then again, we don't want everyone to have one!)
Jinder
I tried to order one through Gibson's UK office a couple of months back, but was told that the model was discontinued-although this may be for export orders only.

I just bought mine last month from Music Villa in Bozeman.
Jinder
I've got the hots for the AJ 12string that Fullers have had for a while. I bet that sounds like the end of the world...I am poor as a church mouse after getting hold of my Dove and B15 in the last few weeks though. Still, who needs money when you're surrounded by delicious guitars?
Taylor Player
I have actually heard that they were discontinued but available through custom order. I know our local Guitar Centers still have a couple in stock but they have been there for awhile and of the two I played, neither sounded as good as mine but that might also just have been dead strings and the overall ambiance of the Guitar Center acoustic room! I would go with your information then... mine came from the kid working the acoustic room at Guitar Center!
