TT2 calibration

Eagle

Recommended Posts

Have you noticed that a key piece of information about the calibration procedure is missing from the instructions on all web sites and the official literature .

It is that if you tune in the low position and then move the claw in the high position ,the act of moving the claw means you need to re-tune the low note before checking the high note after EVERY movement of the claw . Do this and the TT is a breeze to set up .

The official instructions detail in step 7:

1) step up, tune with knobs

2) step down check tune

3) adjust jaw height

4) repeat steps 1-3 until in tune in both positions.

Not sure where you got your version. Ed Roman deleted this key step on the ones he hosted on his site, but they were always there in the official version. Here's a link to them:

Yes your right that is different from the instructions I have .The set I have says drop down two tune raise one tune with jaw and repeat without checking the low again until you get the raise one right which of coarse puts out the down two.

It has the same pic and looks the same but the wording is slightly different . I wrongly assumed at a glance it was the same page as it looks so similar. Thanks.
