polodude14
from what i gather from pictures and reviews (i live in a place wehre i cant really get my hands on one to try one) the back is not cut out where most guitars and basses are. does it make much of a difference? boswell
You are right the back of the Spirit is not contoured like the Synapse, the Spirit body is smaller so generally it's not a problem. The Spirit doesn't hang well on a strap as the top edge of the body/neck tilts away from the player which can be a pain, as travel guitar though it's great for playing seated or lounging on the sofa. polodude14
so they are really similar to the way acoustics feel?
boswell
Not sure what you mean about it feeling like an acoustic?
polodude14
the back of an acoustic is just flat and not contoured. i was comparing the uncontoured Steinberger to an uncontoured acoustic guitar. sorry about the mix-up
boswell
Yeah OK, but with the bodys being tiny a lack of cutaway is no problem on a Spirit.
