Scotty Stonemans 1933 Gibson A-00

I bought this mandolin fron George Gruhn a few weeks ago. Don't ask for pictures, I'm lucky to be able to log in. My camera is a freakin throw away version you take to Wak Mart. Anyhow......

It's amazing how little information there is about Scotty, who was, without a doubt, THE GREATIST fiddle player to ever draw a breath. Check out the Live In L.A. cd. This guy was a freak, and the mandolin has his SS scratched in the back, and a sticker in the soundhole.

It's my first post here, but I'm about to retire my Tele, and get back into Gibson full time. I have an 03' J45 Rosewood (ebony) and a 61 Melody Maker (2 p/u) and a 79' SG Walnut (The SG) and am considering a 58' Les Paul Historic, or an ES335.

I've bought the Roni Stoneman book, and done many hours of research on Scotty, but would love to hear from anyone with any new info. I've emailed Marty Stuart, Roland White, but I guess they didn't like Scotty.

I think he drank a little.

Murph.
