onewilyfool
Any magical solutions for cleaning up that sticky feeling (sweat, oil, dirt, etc?) off the back of the neck of my guitars??? Thanks
ksdaddy
Magic but not magic. Take a washcloth, wet it good with hot water, wring it out well, put a drop or dot of liquid soap on it and just rub it. Dish soap is especially good. A dot is more than enough. Just wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
Jerry K
If the finish is really getting gluey or can be deformed by pushing with a finger, hold off. Let the guitar sit in a cool place for a few days before trying to clean it.
tholmes
If it's just gunk and not the actual finih softening ( as Jerry K indicated), a little naphtha (Ronsonol lighter fluid) on a clean cloth will clean in right up without any harm to the finish or any residue left behind.
