Hello,

I have this guitar and I only know that it is a Gibson Electric Lap-Steel but not much more. Any help with this would be grateful, we are looking to see what the value is.

Thanks,

-Daniel

I just found out that is was a Gibson BR-2 but I am not sure of the year. I noticed that most of these have 8 strings but this one has a 10 string capability? I didn't know if this was a later model or a unique model. If anyone has any info I would be grateful.

Hi Daniel you should try and get hold of a copy of this book.

Are you considering selling your guitar it is also known as Century 10.

We are looking to sell it to the right person. We have looked at eBay and there they sell for around $200. So right now I am trying to find the right price for this classic piece.

It would be worth it to get an appraisal from a vintage dealer like www.gruhn.com or www.mandoweb.com. That way you have written documentation of value for insurance or resale purposes.

Vintage lap steels just don't command the same kinda $$ as vintage acoustics & electrics. I would value it at $400-500
