Navajo Chief
Any comments on this one? Does it sound better than the standard j-200? THanks!
guitarstrummer
Any comments on this one? Does it sound better than the standard j-200? THanks! I think it's just a regular SJ200 with the different pickguard and headstock? I've played a few and they have all sounded the same as my SJ200. J-200 Koa
I have owned two: a maple-bodied one and a koa version. I could not tell any difference in the sound compared to the standard koa or maple SJ-200s. Several people have told me that they were "better built" or had "special woods". I never found either to be the case. They were pretty to look at!
guitarstrummer
Darn you, Fred. Now I'm going to be craving those sandwiches. Their pastries aren't too shabby either, BTW.

(I can just see it now: "Finished in a rich, lick-your-fingers patented "Honey Bar-B-Que-burst", straight from the Custom Shop, this is just about the hottest southern dish you can imagine. All you need to do is bring the grits") Fred
zombywoof
Pretty much the same here - no difference in tone or playability between the Gold and other J-200s. Sure were purty though.
