Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the "Gibson Explorer X Factor" and the previous '76 model? I'm talking about the new ones that are available in ebony, heritage cherry, and classic white. The description is os vague that I can't tell. Thanks!

"Conscience" is the inner voice that warns us that someone might be looking. "Self-respect" is the secure feeling that no one, as yet, is suspicious.

I feel fairly certain it was just the name, they called them X Factors and V Factor X's (explorers and flying v's) for a couple years (the website had a black background at the time). Name never really stuck for me and I've always referred to my V as a flying V and not a V factor X even though it (2005) was during that time period, same thing with my explorer (X-plorer). I didn't ever really feel like the name change was really needed or beneficial.
