Eracer_Team
Wow R9.. you're recommending the unit that's fully configured on the plate (didn't even see that option) with the Luxe Bumble Bee caps and I was leaning more to wards the Jensen PIO cap's I was thinking of matting this up to the WCR American Steele pickup set. This is what they responded back to me on the two cap's On the caps the Jensen has more fat bottom end and a rounder high end and the Luxe caps have a fuller midrange with more presence what's your experience with the Luxe Bumble Bee caps? tazzboy
Contact either Martinsixstring or David Jones over at MLP https://www.martinsixstringcustoms.com/store/index.php?_a=viewDoc&docId=2&ccUser=0q49h4jrkkac5gerrec9emli34 http://www.jonesyblues.com/
Tim Plains
I've only used Luxe Bees and Grey Tigers in my LPs (Bees/Grey Tigers are the same caps) but not the Jensens. They usually have some sort of effect on the guitar's sound but not always. On the caps the Jensen has more fat bottom end and a rounder high end and the Luxe caps have a fuller midrange with more presence I guess you need to evaluate your LP and determine if it needs more bottom end or midrange. Personally, I think LPs have (more than) enough bottom end. Just get both!
Riverside
Pretty pricey, bof'em. Can't imagine how they justify the premium over sourcing pots and caps from Mouser, or similar. Beyond that ever-powerful effort justification thingy.
