We found that the closure strap can be used hold the stand in the open position as well. It has removable isolation points on the bottom of the feet, which is also a first. I built it for a Mesa Boogie Transatlantic Amp and Head out of solid Hickory. I'd like to see a double headphone stand that spins on a base and has a place for guitar picks and a slide/capo. Studio gear that I would want if someone already made it.
