One of my local shops has a mint condition 2009 J45 for sale with a price of $1600 on it. Hardly played, looks like the original strings still on it. What do you think, fair price or not? I probably could get it for a little less since I've done a lot of business with the shop.

Thanks for any replies....

I think that sounds reasonable. I have bought two recently. Paid a little more for one of them because it was in mint condition, paid a little less for the other because it had a repaired crack on the top.

I'd buy it!

A fair price plus you had the opportunity to look it over and play it in person. Takes all the guess work out of it. Good luck.

Yep, 1600 sounds decent, but just for-the-hell-of-it offer them 1450. The most they could do is say "No," maybe even come back with a counter offer. Never hurts to ask and you can still get it for 1600.

Sounds like a decent price for a newer J45. It comes down to.... if it speaks to you! Like you say, offer a bit less and see what happens...!
