billy
I read somewhere that to get the really dark rosewood fretboards you see on some historics Gibson has been dying the wood. Admin could you tell me if this is true or is some of the madagascar rosewood you use for the fretboards naturally that dark. thanks.
pwelly
I have a 2007 59' historic lemonburst that has an almost black ebony-like rosewood board; my 2004 59' has a chocolate brown board, very waxy like brazilian.
