Thundergod Posted September 30, 2008 Share Posted September 30, 2008 Hi my forum friends... as you should know we are aproaching the forum's first birthday, and what better way to celebrate than with a "best picture of the year" thread... (Dave my man, this is where your doubleneck pic comes in ... glad you gave me your consent for using it!). Ok it's not a poll, it's not a contest... but there are rules nonetheless... Pics must be guitar related... and you can´t post YOUR pics... or pics of your guitar... you'll have to look into the forum for the pics you think are the greatest and then ask the owner permision and post it here, you'll have to give a little background about the picture (who's guitar is it and why you posted that pic)... :) Hopefully we will have a nice collection of pics here by the time the forum celebrates it birthday. I'll go first... I recently I was reading a thread started by Dave about certain gift a friend gave him for his birthday... then I saw this pic and I said (and I quote) I would vote for that one pic for forum pic of the year... yes indeed :D/ and Hey dave... can I "borrow" your pic? (for a little thread I'll be posting shortly). Well Dave's answer was "YES", so I give you the best pic of the year (my choice... lets see yours...) I have seen some many gorgeous guitars here but I have not saved the pics... So to try and find them now would be a very time consuming thing. Lots of times pics pop up in unrelated threads as did my double neck so how do you acually go about finding the photo you want to nominate?? Maybe if everyone who thinks they have a possible pic of the year should post it, might even inspire some great new guitar porn... but you still can't nominate your own pic, other forum members have to do that as you said... So maybe a new thread for candidates for Photo of the year. Just a thought. Also does the photo have to be one that has been posted over this past year or can people submit new pics? [/quote'] LOL.... Thanks Cunk.... I had a feeling you might post that one... Just so everyone is clear, that is not me, my snowblower looks much more like a shovel than that! The picture Cunk submitted is a photo that someone on the Acoustic Guitar Forum had posted some time ago and I found very funny so I saved it. Being from Minnesota, yes, we know snow as I am sure Cunkhead does too and the photo epitimizes how I feel when it snows.... I would rather be playing guitar!
