It's done with stop motion animation. Shoot a few frames, stop the camera, move anther drum in, shoot a few more frames, stop the camera ... until you're done shooting. The shadows moving in the background are caused by the motion of the sun during the day. Looks like it took a couple of hours to shoot the openning sequence alone. Then you take all your pieces of visuals, go into the editting room and splice them all togther pretty. Remember, unless it's a concert video you shot yourself, you're listening to a soundtrack that was recordered separately and layered over the visual sequences.

That must have taken ages to shoot. It must have been a real pain in the butt for ol' Jack & Meg.

Tim...

I like them too. Shes a basic (at best) drummer, but Jack is an amazing guitar player. He uses middle of the road Sears equipment too. I have a few of their cd's.....Yes, id do Meg!

My favorite band. Ever.

Love them or hate them, Jack White is one of the only people in the music industry doing something outside the box.

Everybody else is following the trends.

The only bad thing anybody has to say about them is "OMG MEG IS A HORIBBLE DRUMMRE LOLZZZERSSS!!!!" No, she's not horrible retards, she's basic...and that is what the band is all about, returning rock 'n roll to it's primal elements: vocals, guitar, and drums.

Goes to show you, you DON'T need three guitar players and two double-kick drum pedals to make good music.

haha

charlie watts is basic; she is like special ed. with some of the interesting stuff they have done, i would like to actually hear her play something besides bass-snare-bass-snare. i dont need anything crazy, but maybe something different. we all know she can.

not my favorite band by any means, but my hat is off to any musician who does their own thing.

Haven't heard the theme' date=' but I can't wait to see the movie. I love Bond! as for the white stripes... they're not bad. I have respect for them, I"m just not a screaming fan.[/quote']

+1

Whether you like them or not, they're really into what they do and they're good at it so hats off to them.

I don't know how much this means, but not long ago Paul Reed Smith was on a local radio station promoting a celebrity golf tournament he hosts. The DJ asked him what he thought of Jack White and Paul said he thinks he is brilliant. Maybe he just didn't want to piss off a potential artist endorsement. :)

ill make a prediction.

True..Jack has always gone across the grain as far as his equipment goes. But, now that the White Stripes are on a looong break. ( Megs anxiety over the porn tape being released )...Jack will now try and distance himself from that red/white image. Including ditching all that bottom shelf equipment.

Money talks fellas. Hell get a sweet 6 or 7 figure deal. Im betting Gibson, not PRS.

btw..I saw that "movie" Meg was in *yawn*

Not necessarily. And he's had another band for quite some time, The Raconteurs. Two albums, good stuff.

Jack's "mainstream" brand of choice? Gretsch. That seems to be the majority of what he plays with The Raconteurs.
