El Giablo Posted November 21, 2011 Share Posted November 21, 2011 I have a L6S Custom, with an ebony fretboard and dot inlays. The serial number is 700801. Which is stamped on the headstock. I got it from the original owner, with the original warranty card. It also shows the same serial number. Purchased for $499 +$89, on 10/04/75. The problem is, that serial number = a manufacture date of '70 - '72. There are no signs of damage or repair to the guitar. I thought maybe it could be an early '73 model. But those had block inlays. An L6S was probably not an overwhelmingly popular guitar at the time, so it could easily have sat around for a couple of years before it was sold.
