Il basso invece no, perché è ancora un work in progress(ringrazio vivamente il "liutaio" che ha provveduto ai contours cannando completamente l'arm cut anteriore ) e- soprattutto - PERCHE' E' MIO!!!! . Il buon Claudio(infatti è un "lui" che lavora esclusivamente da solo nel garage di casa) ed il sottoscritto stiamo approntando un altro paio di corpi grazie ad un fornitore inglese ancora più storicamente corretti, insieme a dell'hardware specifico che dovrebbe arrivare a breve dagli USA. Attualmente il basso è realizzato così: - manico custom by Musikraft(USA) in acero quarter sawn pezzo unico con profilo "soft V" '56/'57 con tasti vintage, rifinito alla nitro. - meccaniche Gotoh vintage lightweight e capotasto in osso - corpo Warmoth in ontano 2 pezzi Precision '51 acquistato all'asta su eBay. Abbiamo dovuto far realizzare i contours da un liutaio esterno attrezzato(vedi sopra) ed è stato necessario adattare la scassa del manico(Warmoth produce solo scasse con bordo arrotondato, quello di Telecaster/Precision 1 e 2 versione è squadrato invece). Peso del corpo 1,8 Kg. Verniciatura alla nitrocellulosa. - pickup avvolto su specifiche da Luca Villani (I-Spira). Basette in fibra, filo con rivestimento FORMVAR, immersione in nitro diluita, poli staggered, 6,5 Kohm di resistenza in continua, rivestimento in filo cerato bianco. - ponte originale di un Telecaster Bass 1968 con sellette in acciaio temprato. - corde Thomastik Infeld Jazz JF344 lisce avvolte su anima rotonda. - pot CTS per il volume e No-Load per il tono, condensatore Luxe .1 MFD carta olio vintage repro. - appoggiadita in acero verniciato con vite centrale, esattamente come quelli dell'epoca. Upgrade previsti: corpo in pezzo unico, jack cup lavorata dal pieno(Rutters), pot del volume 280K RS Guitarworks "superpot", manopole vintage 1957 repro(Rutters), strap buttons flat top (Rutters), sordina in neoprene sotto il coperchio del ponte... Vabbé, da sabato scorso corredato del suo bellissimo case originale in tweed laccato a mano G&G.
