dxdgenert
Sorry I couldn't get a pic but I went and looked at buying a Epi. Les Paul Std. but backed away when I saw that the guitar had two serial numbers. One was embossed (like Gibson) and the second was printed in gold over the first number. Anyone ever seen anything like this? Fake? Real? What'd you say?

dxdgenert
Does the second number start with 311..... ? It was tough to see but I thought the first number was F and the second "gold" number started with 10.
dxdgenert
Nope... F123456789 10123456789 However, the "gold" number was printed partially on top of the indented number. The "gold" number looked similar to the one on my Made in China Pro/FX.

dxdgenert
If I remember correctly, it also had a small oval-shaped black sticker with gold print that stated "Handcrafted in China" on it... The joint for the "wings" of the headstock were very visible, as well. The binding was very yellowish instead of creme.
RaSTuS
Very strange, I was thinking it may have belonged to a musical school, a hire company or a school band etc, hence my previous thought. But with the other stuff also printed on it, that sure rules that train of thought out.
