Hello there,

I play bass as much as guitar, and I need a short scale. My buddy has a EB-0 and I liked playing it, but I noticed even after a good set up it has some buzzing issues on then neck. I don't have the money to spend on a Gibson version, so I will have to settle with the Epiphone option, not that I am settling per say.

I am posting to see if anyone has a EB-0 that they are 100% satisfied with, and what they had to do to get the intonation and playability up to speed.

Did you switch to specific strings? Possibly change out the pickups?

I currently play a Squire P-Bass, which isn't even mine, it's just a loner. The 34 scale neck is just too much, I need that short scale feel.

Thanks.

Hi,

I bought half a year ago an EB-0 and I am satified with the bass.
I was looking for a short scale and a bass with a deep bass sound.
The critics for an EB-0 is the most of the time very negative.
When I receieved mine, the first thing I changed the strings to, sorry to tell you that, to Fender short scale strings.
Then I checked the Intonation and Fret Placement and adjusted it.
Now it is a brilliant inexpensive short scaler.
I can recommend this type of bass.

I hope you will enjoy

This is really the only Epi bass I want in my arsenal, just so I have something with a smaller neck that I can play chords easier and play faster on. A Squier Bronco would do me just fine to.
