Gibson ES 446_real or fake_help!!

Hello,
I would like to buy a second hand guitar Gibson ES 446.The serial of the guitar is CS9465.I was unaable to discover from Gibson serial number (I've read from Gibson site) if this guitar it's an original one. I would highly appreciate your help for a right decission.
Are there another tips and tricks in order to see if this guitar is original or not(kind of wood,serial stamped or not etc)?

The serial number CS 9465 was used on a Gibson ES-446 Custom which had a natural finish and nickel hardware. It was shipped to a distributor back in 1999. We can not authenticate with a serial number alone. If you email pictures of the instrument to service@gibson.com, we will be glad to let you know if it appears consistent with a real Gibson instrument.
