Gibson SG Standard 2007 Finish specs

Can anybody tell me the finish on a 2007 Gibson SG Standard Ebony? Also what should i use to clean and polish? I already know about the Gibson polish.

i dust mine dry and only polish when it's grimy. go in the grain direction to avoid swirl marks... i've seen so many finishes ruined that look like someone took a brillo pad with comet and went to town with the 'wax on wax off' motion.

I never clean my axes, except for the fingerboard oiling now and then. It is too much energy to worry about the cleanliness of it. I get obsessed about it if I start. So it is better for me to just let it age au natural.

Once I was hanging out with Michael Hedges, and his guitar was beyond grimy. Even I couldn't let me fboard and frets get that grungy!
