Wayne Posted October 27, 2008 Share Posted October 27, 2008 I have heard Gibson acoustic necks referred to as chunky, fat, and slim. Obviously not the same necks. The ones I played recently (mostly dreads Jumbos and Super Jumbos) were all quite slim which is what I like. Is there a year or a range of years when these had the fat necks that I want to avoid in my search for a used J/SJ? I think someone mentioned the early 60s as when they got slimmer but I dont know that for a fact... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
