NGD _ Wilshire Pro - UPDATED WITH PICS!

I just recieved my used white Wilshire pro guitar. I'm liking it! :)

Question: What year was it made? Here's the serial number: 1003123xxx. I'm guessing March 2010.

There's no country of origin marked on the body - I assume China, right?

It has StewMac replacement pickups: Goldenage Alnico 5. Neck 5402, Bridge 5403. The vol pot for the bridge is wired backwards. No biggie.

Yes I'm gonna mod it. Plans are new pickguard, single vol single tone, maybe a side output jack, coil taps & phase switch.

Best of all I got it for $128 plus shipping.

Thoughts?

HNGD! I've tried Golden Age pups myself with good results. I put a set of Parsons Street Humbuckers in an older Ibanez LP a couple of years ago. It was a huge improvement over the stock ones. That's a heck of a deal, the pups alone probably were around $100. Beautiful guitar, congrats! [thumbup]

HNGD my friend, nice photo's, show the guit off a treat. Tried one at a recent guitar show, very comfy, but I couldn't take to the all white appearence.

Enjoy.

Thanks! I didn't like the all white look as well. Wait till you see the new pickguard :)

Well, the mods are DONE!! Here's what she looks like now.

I had Terrapin Guitars make a new pick guard for her:

I simplified the controls - one vol and one tone.

The top was too busy so I moved the output jack to the side:

I added a custom truss rod cover as well from Terrapin Guitars:

A bone nut was added for better tone.

Man, I love this guitar!

The Wilshire Pro is also a "Limited Edition" but the knobs on yours do look more like the original Limited Edition Wilshire. The Pro has rubberized knobs as it has push/pull posts on the volumes.

Yours has reflectors like the first run. So I think you're right.
