Hi folks,

Owner of many fine Gibsons over the years, current stable includes my 2011 Hummingbird and 2010 Songwriter Deluxe Standard. The bird is a great strummer but the Songwriter turned into a beast after I removed the huge pickguard (or rather "thickguard" and the heavy Fishman system.

Welcome aboard man. A lot of great people here. You may want to start a regular thread below to introduce yourself. The introduction here doesn't get very much looking at. Again welcome.

Sorry as I was posting already before I introduce myself here.
Anyways, I am a Gibson fan and love their guitars all around, I once did have an old mid 70's Hummingbird that got nicked in the early 80's and that's where it all halted for me with acoustic, at least with Gibson but got lost into the Les
Paul world inly up and until this year I finally came around to sporting a Gibson acoustic.

Well now here it is 2 in a month along with a Martin in which I don't have any pictures yet!

Howdy all. Thanks for opening the barn door for me!
I've been enjoying a 2013 J-45 koa for about three years now and finally thought I should check in here. I'll try to figure out how to get a photo or two added.

Howdy Folks!
Just got my 2015 J45 2 weeks ago. I thought it would be a great addition to my '99 Collings D3 and '88 HD28. I love them all but I just can't put the J45 down! It's got more punch than the D3 and more low end than the HD28. If I had to choose one guitar it would be the J45 hands down. Awesome guitar!

Hello Everyone,
I just joined a couple days ago. I'm new to Gibson ownership as I bought my J-15 a couple weeks ago. I started playing around 12 and will turn 60 this year. I've always wanted a high end guitar and Gibson was the brand that had the sound I loved. Things came together for me a little while back and figured it was now or never. I play mostly singer/songwriter music when I'm not playing in my church. My favorites include Jim Croce, Dan Fogelberg, and Jimmy Buffet. My next musical journey will be to actually sit down and write my own songs. I've had more false starts over the years than I can count but maybe my new J-15 will get me over the hump.

Anyway, here's my new Gibson and the reason I'm here:

Hey Jeep. Nice guitar. All the best on the songwriting journey. i also am 60 - and I write most of my own songs because either I can't remember anyone else's lyrics, or I get easily side-tracked. Welcome to the Gibson Forums.

Hello everyone,
I'm Chris in Winston-Salem, NC but recently moved here from St. Louis MO.
I've been playing guitar since 1993ish and have had many guitars but just got a new J35 today which is my first Gibson. Such an incredible instrument!
Thanks for having me!

I have been a little active on this forum for a year or more but always felt a little odd because I didn't have a Gibson. That's no longer the case. I bought a new old stock J-35 and am tickled with it. I hope to be more active in the future around here since I will no longer feel like I'm a cheater. My other guitars are Martins and Larrivees but right now I'm a Gibson fan!
