I ordered the Dethklok Thunderhorse Explorer in late-Nov. 2011 and have seen a continuing series of delays in shipment from Gibson to the reseller. First due 11/28, then 12/5, then late-Dec, then 3/5/2012, then maybe 3/15, and now 4/28.

Anyone else in this boat? And does ANYONE have a clue why this round of Thunderhorse guitars is so dramatically delayed?

There's been a Thunderhorse guitar hanging on the wall for months at the Sam Ash near me.I told them i was interested in it and wanted to do a deal on that and a PRS Santana SE so they set both guitars up for me and I stopped by.The Price they came up with wasnt as good as what they told me on the phone the night before so firse I tried the PRS and it was instant love.I'm sure this isnt going to make any thunder horse owners happy but I thought (IMHO) the PU's in the T horse were weak.I thought the horse like most Exp's had the std ceramic 500t and 496r not the burstbucker 1 and burstbucker 2,good sounding pickups but not as hot as the usual ceramics.I would have even preferred the 57 classic and 57 classic plus instead of the burst buckers.Seems it's me because if they are doing a second run they must be real popular and a great guitar,hey we all like different things,hope you get one soon.

$h!t, dude. that sucks. Local Sam Ash had one for a week or two. This late? I'd be furious and cancel that b!tch.
